What is Competent? Competent is having a good manner, power, uniqueness and stability even tough we are in a difficult situation. As we all know, there are a lot of problem that we are facing nowadays. For example, you have some problem in your business, your family or in your study. Sometimes, those problems seem so hard for us and we can not stand any longer. It seems that we want to get out and run away from those problems. However, run away from our problem is not a good thing to do. A competent woman will not escape from her problem, but she will face and solve her problem. That is the men’s favorite. How to be a competent woman? Here are some explanations based from Holy Bible.

Proverbs 31:10-31 describes the characteristics of competent woman. First, competent woman is more precious than a jewel (verse 10) and rarely have a woman like this. In 1997, 22 year old Heidi Gunther died of a heart attack during a vacation trip with her family. She was at the time a ballet dancer for the Boston Ballet. Heidi suffered from an eating disorder called Anorexia Nervosa.

Anorexia is a life threatening psychological condition where a person believes he or she is too obese, never thin enough, resulting in self starvation and excessive exercising to the point of malnutrition. This condition seems to be more prevalent among teenage girls and young women but not exclusively. Cases have also been found among men, young children, and even some women as old as sixty.
